Detroit

I am on my way to Detroit again. Marty's plane comes in at 9:45pm, so I will have plenty of time to hit up IKEA. I only need a few things but I could wander around that place for hours.

Ok, define need, right? I need to pick up some plastic storage containers to repack our Christmas ornaments in, light bulbs for the boys' clamp on bedside lights and of course some more lingonberry jelly. Clearly things that don't break the compact rules. The jelly is food, the light bulbs are needed house hold and the containers are to prevent having to spend more money to buy new ornaments if our old ones break. And that's the story I am sticking with.

Good news on the broken bone front - the orthoped said that I broke the right bone, because there isn't anything he can do for it. I can continue to follow up with my family doctor unless there is more pain or in just doesn't seem to get better. I can even wait until I get to Mississippi to follow up.

Speaking of MS - Marty got lots of pictures of the apartment and town. After about 30 minutes of driving around, he had seen just about everything there was to see... He said everyone has been nice - almost over the top, sugary sweet nice.

He talked to his new regional and was told they are thinking September 14th as a report date. A full 10 days earlier than they said last time! Good thing my mom is a fast packer - and we don't have much crap. Man decluttering has been a lifesaver.

I am off to pack school stuff, which of course will just devastate my children.
